Reading: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, by Agatha Christie. This is supposed to be one of her best novels, and though I'm only a few chapters in, I'm really enjoying it. I'm a big Miss Marple fan, but I've only read one (or two?) of the Poirot stories, so he's still sort of new to me. It's been too long since I read an Agatha Christie mystery! (At the rate that I buy her books, I probably need to be reading one a month to keep up. It's way too easy to find copies of them at thrift stores, used book sales, etc.)
Knitting: I don't know what to knit next...I'm waffling between starting another sweater or being practical and starting some hats to sell this fall. So I did the perfectly logical thing (ha) and cast on another sock. I'm making the Impossible Girl socks, in this very autumn-ish, burnt orange tweed yarn.

Now I want to run to the library and get Agatha Christie! It's been awhile since I've read a detective story, I miss it! Love your tweed yarn, it reminds me of fall..
ReplyDeleteI love mysteries! :) Thanks, the yarn reminds me of fall, too. Wishful thinking, I guess...I'm ready for summer to be over!
DeleteI love a good mystery and have read a few of Agatha Christie, always intending to read more but haven't picked one up lately! I love the color of your sick!
ReplyDeleteI'm always meaning to read more of hers, too. There are just so many of them that sometimes it's hard to know where to begin. Thanks!
DeleteI've never read an Agatha Cristie, but have picked up her books pretty often...maybe should actually sit down and read. Love that yarn...
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy her books! You should start with And Then There Were None...it's one of her best, I think.
DeleteIf the weather near you is like it is here, hats would be a good option! Sweater is too much wool on top of me right now. Enjoy whatever you decide to do :-)
ReplyDeleteYes, it's very hot here! But somehow I always seem to do most of my sweater knitting during the summer. :)
DeleteIt's been a while since I've read anything by Agatha Christie. I just watched the DW episode with her, so I've been wanting to. I love a good mystery! :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great episode. Not the best plot, but very memorable anyway. :) I always picture Agatha Christie in my head as the actress who played her in that one!
DeleteI haven't read any Agatha Christie in a long time either. Maybe it's time to revisit? I do love the yarn you are using for that sock. It would be perfect in a hat ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks! Now that you've planted that idea in my head, it would make a really nice hat! :)
DeleteGreat book choice! And, I vote SWEATER!!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I am very tempted to start a sweater! I know in the fall I would be glad to have a new one to wear. :)
DeleteI love that you are being so "practical". That sock yarn is very pretty. I really love the Agatha Christie mysteries. I stopped reading them a while back when I started being able to predict the endings. Maybe I should pick one up this summer. It has been quite a while.
ReplyDeleteThanks! :) I love mysteries and read/watch them quite often, but I can never guess the correct culprit. Maybe that's why I find them so entertaining!
Deletewhat aptly named socks :) I love the impossible girl
ReplyDeleteShe's not my favorite companion, but I do like her a lot! :)
DeleteI am loving that yarn. I'm happy to see that I am not the only one already looking ahead to cooler weather. Cheers!
ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, it seems like I always spend most of the summer wishing for fall. :)
DeleteOh! i haven't read an Agatha Christie in a long time. I might have to read one now!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely pick one up soon! :)
DeleteThat is such a great colour yarn! These socks are going to be awesome. I've not read Agatha Christie for years, good reminder, thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Hopefully you can pick up one of her books again soon. :)
DeleteLovely yarn!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
