Yarn Along

Reading: The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, by Agatha Christie. This is supposed to be one of her best novels, and though I'm only a few chapters in, I'm really enjoying it. I'm a big Miss Marple fan, but I've only read one (or two?) of the Poirot stories, so he's still sort of new to me. It's been too long since I read an Agatha Christie mystery! (At the rate that I buy her books, I probably need to be reading one a month to keep up. It's way too easy to find copies of them at thrift stores, used book sales, etc.)

Knitting: I don't know what to knit next...I'm waffling between starting another sweater or being practical and starting some hats to sell this fall. So I did the perfectly logical thing (ha) and cast on another sock. I'm making the Impossible Girl socks, in this very autumn-ish, burnt orange tweed yarn.

{Yarn Along is a weekly link up hosted by Ginny where you can share what you've been knitting and reading.}

    1. I'm always meaning to read more of hers, too. There are just so many of them that sometimes it's hard to know where to begin. Thanks!

    1. I really enjoy her books! You should start with And Then There Were None...it's one of her best, I think.

  4. If the weather near you is like it is here, hats would be a good option! Sweater is too much wool on top of me right now. Enjoy whatever you decide to do :-)

    1. Yes, it's very hot here! But somehow I always seem to do most of my sweater knitting during the summer. :)

    1. That's a great episode. Not the best plot, but very memorable anyway. :) I always picture Agatha Christie in my head as the actress who played her in that one!

  6. I haven't read any Agatha Christie in a long time either. Maybe it's time to revisit? I do love the yarn you are using for that sock. It would be perfect in a hat ;)

  8. I love that you are being so "practical". That sock yarn is very pretty. I really love the Agatha Christie mysteries. I stopped reading them a while back when I started being able to predict the endings. Maybe I should pick one up this summer. It has been quite a while.

    1. Thanks! :) I love mysteries and read/watch them quite often, but I can never guess the correct culprit. Maybe that's why I find them so entertaining!
