Yarn Along

Reading: The Rosie Effect, by Graeme Simsion. This is the sequel to the book I was reading in my last Yarn Along post (The Rosie Project). I can't say too much about this one without spoiling aspects of the first book, so I'll just say that I'm really enjoying it so far. :)

Knitting: I'm almost finished with my mom's socks for Mothers' Day. A few days late, I know! But I only have a couple of inches left on the second sock. These are just plain vanilla socks, but knitting with self-striping yarn is so addicting!

{Yarn Along is a weekly link up hosted by Ginny where you can share what you've been knitting and reading.}

  1. ooh lovely socks! I haven't got around to reading these books yet, the pretty cover is making me want to order them anyway! :)

  2. I LOVE those stripes! The color combo is lovely too - it's not one I would have ever thought of, but it looks great.

    I have The Rosie Project on my wish list of ebooks through the library. I read on my kindle during lunch at work (basically the only time I use it...), and this sound like really fun candidate. :)

    1. I like the colors, too! Except for those sections of light blue right next to each other that blend into one thick stripe, ha. These Rosie books are light and fun! There is some profanity that bugs me, but otherwise I've enjoyed them.

  3. I love self striping sock yarns, they seem to knit up so quickly because I'm so excited to get to the next stripe colour lol
