I'm a sucker for gorgeous book covers, but lately I've been paying special attention to book spines. These are some of my favorite spines of books that I own...they're all really appealing to me, whether it's because of the colors or the typography or how the design carries on from the cover. Depending on how books are displayed, the spine and title could be more influential in drawing your attention than the cover.
What are some of your favorite book spines?
These book spines are gorgeous! Especially the Wildwood books...wow. The spines alone are enough to make me want to read them :)
ReplyDeleteI know, the Wildwood books are some of the most gorgeous books I've ever seen. I actually just got the third one in the mail yesterday, but I took these pictures a week or two ago, so it didn't make it in the photo. But the trilogy looks amazing together!
DeleteI really think you'd like the Wildwood series. I thought the first one was okay, and I loved the second. I can't wait to read the third! I might reread the first two before I read the third, and then do a review of the whole series on my blog. :)
Really loving Bethany House's book spines (designs) these days (particularly Becky Wade's Melissa Tagg's) because - ahhh! - they use more than one photo (the front image) from the cover shoot and it's so cool to see how they can use them creatively. :)
ReplyDeleteI love those spines, too! I've got Undeniably Yours and Meant to Be Mine sitting on my desk right now, waiting to be read, and they look so gorgeous together! :) It is neat that they use a different photo.
Deleteso pretty.
ReplyDeleteI think so, too!
