Things I am excited about.

It's always good to have things that you're looking forward to, right? :) Here are a few random things I'm excited about...

-In just a few days, I will find out whether I'm going to be auntie to a niece or nephew later this year!! Then the baby sewing/knitting/etc. will commence. :)

-Monsters University. Oh my goodness, you guys. I love, love, love Pixar films, and Monsters, Inc. has always been my favorite. So I'm ridiculously excited about this prequel. :)

-Shannon Hale has a new book coming out next year. It looks very different from her other books, but she's one of my favorite authors so I'm sure it will be good. If you haven't read The Goose Girl, you're seriously missing out.

-Natalie Lloyd also has a novel coming out next year! Natalie is one of the sweetest and most inspiring writers ever, and her nonfiction book Paperdoll has had a huge impact on my life. I cannot wait to read her first novel...I know it's going to be amazing. I want to preorder it now.

-Finding out what happens after Sherlock's first season cliffhanger! How could they do that to me?? Good grief. I think I audibly said to myself, "You have got to be kidding me!" when the credits started rolling. I immediately bumped season 2 up to the top of my Netflix queue. (BBC has been blowing my mind even more than usual lately. I think I need to do a post about that soon?) Edit: Since writing this post a few days ago, I've seen the first two episodes of season 2, though I'm now waiting for the final one. :)

-I'm still excited about my spinning wheel. :)

-As soon as I have some extra money, I'm going to buy yarn to knit my first sweater (that is for me and not baby-sized). For now I'll have to settle for spending way too much time on Ravelry trying to decide on the right (inexpensive) yarn and pattern.

Until next time,

  1. I saw your pins on Sherlock and was wondering if you had just started watching it. :D It's pretty awesome, huh? I'm super excited for season 3! Do you have a favorite episode so far?

I'm really looking forward to Monsters University too!

    1. It is awesome. :) I don't know if I can pick a favorite, but if I had to, it would probably be The Great Game. Mostly because of the ridiculous suspense of it all. :)

    1. I've read all of her books except Midnight in Austenland. And the two graphic novels. Haven't been able to get my hands on those yet! :) The Goose Girl and Forest Born are my favorites of hers.

  3. The Goose Girl is AMAZING. I had seen the cover of Shannon Hale's new book, but I can't find a description of it. It looks so different from everything else she's done, but I can't figure out what it's about :(

Oh, and Sherlock is highly awesome, too. The Great Game is my favorite episode, along with The Reichenbach Fall (The last ep. of Season 2...talk about cliffhangers! That one is brutal)...ooooh the suspense of it all! :D
