Yesterday my brother and sister-in-law had another ultrasound...and we found out whether they were having a boy or a girl!
It's a...
It's a...
Girl!
I was really surprised. All along, I had just sort of assumed it would be a boy. Rachel had taken one of those over the counter tests and did the old wives' tale prediction thing, and both said boy. Cody and Rachel had even taken to calling the baby "he."
My dad said from the beginning it would be a girl. About a week or two ago, I dreamed they had a baby girl. But I was still surprised. So were they. According to my mom, one of my brother's first reactions was, "Now I have to worry about her dating!" Which I thought was hilarious. :)
I finally got to sew the little pink flower buttons on my niece's sweater today. :)
Now my head is full of sweaters and mittens and booties to knit. And I'm daydreaming about sewing dresses and dolls. I'm going to have a niece! I can't wait to hold her and watch her grow up and introduce her to Elizabeth Bennet, Anne Shirley, and Lucy Pevensie. But not too soon. Maybe we should start with Madeline. :)
Wow. I can't wait to be an aunt. :)
{And on a completely unrelated note: Just a reminder that you have a couple more days to enter the Wizard of Oz fabric giveaway and the Hitchcock DVD giveaway! I'll draw the winners at the end of the week.}
Until next time,

Awww!! Yay! A girl!!!
