She believed she could, so she did.

I came across this quote a month or two ago on Pinterest, and it really stuck with me. I think it was Natalie who first gave me the idea to embroider it, so a few weeks ago I started sketching out designs. I've been stitching on this piece for about a week and half now, and it's finally finished!

It didn't turn out exactly as I planned. My original idea was the quote looking a bit like a vine, with the flowers crowding in, and some green leaves and vines amongst the flowers. But then I thought that might be too busy (as if this piece wasn't busy enough already :).

I'm mostly pleased with the end result. I think I should have used a different color for the lettering, and the flowers look a little too starfishy. But overall, I'm proud of all of those lazy daisy stitches and how springlike the whole piece is. :)

Here's a peek at the back, because that's always interesting...

You can find the piece in my Etsy shop here.

Until next time,

  1. This is so pretty! I love all the colors. It's very spring-y and happy.

  2. I LOVE this! It's so bright and cheerful.

  3. I really love this color combo (even the lettering ;-)!

Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to read them! :) I reply to each one, so be sure to check back, especially if you asked a question.
