My aunt passed away last Thursday. She had been fighting a brain tumor since November of last year. A couple of times, after surgery and treatments, it seemed like things were looking up, but she ended up with an eternal healing rather than just a temporary one.
That explains my absence over the past week. There have been much more important things to do...family to spend time with and memories to think about. The rest of this week promises to be busy, too, for different reasons, so I likely won't post anymore until the weekend.
Any prayers for my uncle, and his and my aunt's children and grandchildren, would be much appreciated.
Until next time,

I will be praying for your family. I know it must be terribly hard for them, (and you as well.) :/
ReplyDeleteMuch love and prayers. <3
Praying for you and your family. I love that you decided to put a picture of blooming things on a post about a painful loss. You are so loved.
ReplyDeleteOh Kristen, I'm so sorry for your loss. It seems like everywhere I turn people I know or their loved ones are fighting cancer.
ReplyDeleteDitto what Natalie said, and I'm SO sorry I misspelled your name in my last comment!
ReplyDeleteYou've had some really nice posts lately, Kristin. It's been heartbreaking to be so far away these last few months. It would be nice to celebrate new babies and new marriages, and it would mean a lot to hug and cry over the loss of our aunt. Please know I'm thinking about all of you and sending you my love and prayers.
ReplyDeleteKristin,
ReplyDeleteNice post. I have a couple vases of flowers in our house also. A small glimpse of beauty that she may be enjoying. Thank you ever so much for the huge ways you helped us this week. Love to you all.
