Christmas crafting.

I've been working on some crafty stuff this week, so I thought I'd post some pictures. Sorry that some of them are dark or blurry. But I've been finishing in the evening after it gets dark. :)

Mollie at Wild Olive is hosting this amazing series called Ornamentation, and she puts up a new ornament to make everyday. I'm in love with pretty much all of them so far.

My mom loves cuckoo clocks, and when I showed her the first day's ornament, she wanted one. So I made one for me and one for her. :)

I stumbled across this adorable cozy tutorial yesterday and decided to make it. It turned out really cute! I just had to adjust the size to fit my iPod classic, because it's made for one of the older Nanos.

Another ornament from Ornamentation...

This morning I worked on my quilt {yes, people, I am still sewing that thing! My goal is to be finished by the end of the month}. And this afternoon, I made the cover project of Fa La La La Felt, which I've been meaning to make for about a year now. :)

I absolutely love it! :) I love the woodland thing that's popular now. This little tree has a deer, a squirrel, a hedgehog, and some adorable mushrooms. I sort of had to wing things with the animals and the shape of the tree, because our printer won't enlarge scanned images, so I couldn't enlarge the patterns at the back of the book.

I love this glittery white felt. :) Perfect for Christmas crafts! I also love that the small stitches on the animals give them so much texture.

I've got another smaller, darker tree waiting to be made.

I also made my first fabric rosette yesterday. I think they're really cute and want to make some more, even though this one is a little sloppy. I glued a pin on the back so it can be a brooch or something.

This is what my work space looks like on crafty days like these:

Until next time,

  1. These are so wonderfully adorable! I love it. I remember when I was stressing 100% about making an ornament and you told me to use felt. Not only did it turn out cute but, so help me, it was kind of adorable. I need to get crafty again this year too. My ornaments never look as cool as yours (that year I did a bird in a cage that ended up looking more like a bird in a crockpot) but it's still fun. :)
