I loved his books as a kid, and I still do (I have ideas for a post about my obsession with picture books and children's literature that's been bouncing around my head since last summer).

This is another great quote by him:

"We are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love."
