That Darn Cat.

I love this movie! Have you guys ever seen it?

When I first started getting into classic movies a few years ago, I hated the idea of a cheesy 60s Disney live-action movie. What on earth was I thinking? :) Thankfully, I've changed my mind and now I love those movies.

Especially this one. Sure, it's cheesy. But it's also clever in parts. And it's seriously funny.

It stars Dean Jones, who I love (he's the guy from "The Love Bug" and a ton of other live-action Disney movies) as Zeke the FBI man, and Hayley Mills (the girl from "The Parent Trap") as Patti. You also get a glimpse of the guy who plays Mel Cooley in "The Dick Van Dyke Show."

One of my favorite characters is Canoe, Patti's friend/sort of boyfriend. He's hilarious, with his constant eating, love of surfer movies, and scorn for the romantic movies she likes. He seems to take their friendship for granted until suspicious stuff starts happening, and then he becomes very sweet in his concern.

Anyway, it's a great movie. It's one of my favorite 60s Disney movies.

Until next time,

  1. i love vintage disney-like movies! i'll have to check this one out. :)
    thanks for sharing! xx.

  2. Oh, this is one of my favorites from when I was a kid. I'm a cat person, so that helps too. :) Glad you enjoyed it! Another favorite 1960s Disney movie of mine is Never a Dull Moment starring Dick Van Dyke. You might enjoy that one too. :)

Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to read them! :) I reply to each one, so be sure to check back, especially if you asked a question.
