Ready for this?

Hi, guys. I just wanted to catch you all up on the newest things that I've made. I think this is everything that I've finished this week, but I might be leaving something out...Sorry for the bad lighting in some of them, by the way.

Sunflower hoop art. Many, many yellow felt petals. :) And the middle is a brown felt circle with many French knots to make seeds. This is pretty much life's in a 10 inch hoop, I think?

This one was heavily inspired by this hoop art and the famous children's book. It's in a 8 inch hoop.

See my smoke? I got a little carried away. :)

The grass looked plain, so I added some button flowers.

New bag.

I love the grosgrain ribbon around it. My mom's friend has a pink bag similar to this, and I've been wanting to try it. I'm not too happy with the "bow" and the button, but it's okay for now.

Zippered pouch, with pale pink zipper and bright pink interior:

I sold my other wallet like this one, so I made another.

I'm really proud of how much I've made and have to take to the craft/fall festival: 5 bags, 12 wallets, 7 iPod cases, 4 pouches, 1 apron, 4 hoop arts, and a few other little random things. And I'm hoping to get in a few more things this week. I hope I do well...I'll actually be relieved when it's over, so I can do some "selfish sewing." :)

Until next time,

  1. Oh, I love all your creations, Kristen! Very pretty. :) I've got a little question for you -- what kind of stabilizer do you use on your bags? I am currently using Pellon 809 interfacing and duck cloth, but I've been thinking about switching out the duck cloth with fleece. I hope you don't mind me asking. It's just so fun to find another blogging seamstress! *wink*

  2. I LOOOVE the "goodnight moon" one, its so nostalgic! :)

  3. I LOVE your wallets! :D Do you have an etsy shop?

Please feel free to leave a comment, I love to read them! :) I reply to each one, so be sure to check back, especially if you asked a question.
