Felt hoop art.

Hi, there. I just wanted to share a few things I've been trying out over the past few days...

Something I call "felt hoop art." It's a little embroidery with felt, framed in a hoop so it's easy to hang on your wall. By the way, ignore the faint purple markings from my marking pen. This one (called Singin' in the Rain) didn't turn out exactly like I wanted, but I still think it's cute. The second one is my favorite of the two (called Secret Garden).

The flowers are felt circles sewn down with a button. The middle flower is dark purple, not brown like it appears to be. This one I'm tempted to keep, because the colors match my room perfectly (my walls are those shades of blue and pink).

And I found a way to finish the back that looks much neater than this.

The only thing is that I don't know how much to charge for them. It's a six inch hoop, and art similar to these (but sometimes in smaller hoops) starts at about $12 on Etsy, plus shipping, but I'm not sure that people in my area of the country would pay that much, especially for the really simple ones like these.

Out of curiosity, how much would you be willing to pay for something like this?

Until next time,

  1. These are very good. I might pay maybe $5.00. I know that may seem a little cheap, but maybe you could charge right in the middle of $12 and $5.
