Happy fourth of July, everyone. =) I guess I'll be spending the weekend like almost every other American...cookouts, ice cream, and fireworks. Today we're cooking out for lunch with my grandparents. Then this evening, we're making homemade ice cream and visiting with some more family. Our youth group is going to a local church tomorrow evening to see fireworks. They're always really nice. My favorite part is right before they set off the first firework, when they play Ray Charles singing "America" over the loudspeakers. It just makes you feel so patriotic, you know? America really is a wonderful and blessed country, although there are so many things that need to change. Our nation is drifting further and further away from what God and the founding fathers meant for it to be. But there's hope...
"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." -2 Chronicles 7:14
