First Blog

So...this is the first entry of my first blog. Here lately, it seems that I've been exposed to a lot of blogs- crafting blogs, homemaking blogs, and the Susie magazine blog (check out the website at susiemag.com). I've wanted to make one for a while and I got really inspired by the ones I've seen. I decided to try it out, and I hope I can keep my blog going. I don't spend a lot of time online, and even when I do, I'm usually doing something else at the same time. Yes, multi-tasking (which I'm not very good at). :P For example, I'm watching the judges give Ty Murray their comments on "Dancing with the Stars" right now, as I try to type.
I've been scrapbooking like crazy over the past week. My homeschool graduation ceremony is this Friday night, and all of the graduates get to have a table set up representing the things they love. I've been making a scrapbook of our last family vacation, my senior trip to Disney World, to put on my table. It started out as a nice little scrapbook, but it kind of ballooned and got a little out of control. :) Still, it's so lovely, or at least it will be when I finish it tomorrow or Wednesday. Speaking of tomorrow, I'm planning on getting some supplies for a few new sewing projects. I'm going to make another Buttercup bag (found here:
http://madebyrae.blogspot.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html), this one a little bigger than my last one. And I'm also going to try to make a dress from a Simplicity "Project Runway" pattern. I'm pretty nervous about that, because I've only make one dress before. It was from an easy pattern, but because of the 5 inches of ease, I thought it made me look fat. My mom adopted it, though. So I'm a little nervous about this one, but also pretty excited. Who knows how it'll turn out? Oh, the adventures of sewing.
Until next time,
Kristin (missvintagegirl)
